5 search and rescue teams, RCMP find stranded person in canyon above Penticton
The search began on Oct. 10, after Penticton RCMP asked Penticton Search and Rescue (PENSAR) to find an individual missing in the Carmi Recreation Forest area. As daylight faded and temperatures dropped, mutual aid was requested from Oliver Osoyoos Search and Rescue (OOSAR) and Central Okanagan Search and Rescue.
