The Greater Worcester Community Foundation awarded scholarships to 488 students for the 2026 academic year. Michael Sobolewski received a record $104,000 through the Becker Scholarship Fund to attend Worcester Polytechnic Institute. A Worcester student inspired by his younger sister’s heart condition hopes to become a cardiologist. The foundation also awarded 247 new scholarships to students entering college this fall.
