IslandLink and Hullo launch connected bus and ferry routes on Vancouver Island

On October 1, 2026, IslandLink Bus Services and Hullo launched coordinated bus and ferry routes connecting central Vancouver Island communities with downtown Vancouver without a car. The service links Campbell River, Courtenay, and Parksville directly to Hullo's Nanaimo ferry terminal.
Under the daily schedule, Hullo's 9 a.m. sailing from downtown Vancouver to Nanaimo meets an 11 a.m. northbound IslandLink bus to Parksville, Courtenay, and Campbell River. In the opposite direction, IslandLink departs Campbell River and travels through Courtenay and Parksville to arrive at the Nanaimo terminal in time for Hullo's 11 a.m. sailing to downtown Vancouver.
"We have been asking for this for a while, so it is an exciting day to officially join forces with Hullo to give Vancouver Island residents and visitors an integrated transportation option," IslandLink CEO Phillip Morgan said. Hullo and IslandLink say they are also exploring future expansion to Victoria, the Cowichan Valley, Port Alberni, and Tofino.
